Model-turned-author Sophie Dahl is to front a new cooking programme on BBC Two next year, it has been announced. The series will feature Dahl - the granddaughter of famous novelist Roald - cooking up recipes and reminiscing about her own personal food memories. "For me, food is more than just fuel," said the 31-year-old. "It's a joy and an adventure." The show, made by Jamie Oliver's Fresh One Productions, will begin shooting this summer for transmission in 2010. "We are delighted to be bringing Sophie's culinary talents to the channel," said BBC Two controller Janice Hadlow. "Not only are her recipes fantastic, she's honest, funny and warm." Earlier this year Dahl, a novelist and columnist, published a cookbook entitled Miss Dahl's Voluptuous Delights. "Cooking often serves as an emotional barometer," she said. "With this show we will run the gamut."
