Internet draw for Jackson tickets

Tickets for Tuesday's public memorial service for Michael Jackson in Los Angeles will be available via the internet, organisers have revealed.

Speaking outside the Staples Center, where the memorial will be held, AEG Live president Tim Leiweke said a total of 17,500 tickets would be issued.

Fans wanting to go were told to register at staplescenter.com, where names would later be chosen at random.

Eleven thousand of the tickets will be for the event at the Staples Center, while a further 6,500 tickets will be for a simulcast of the service at a nearby theatre.
