Angel McKenzie has become the latest housemate to be evicted from Channel 4's Big Brother house.

The Russian-born artist and professional boxer left the house to loud boos from the crowd outside.

The 31-year-old spared fellow housemate Halfwit - real name Freddie Fisher - from eviction for a third time.

In an interview with presenter Davina McCall, Angel said she was disappointed to go. She said: "I feel saddened, I truly wished to stay a bit longer."

Angel added: "I feel I failed in my mission to get the house fit. I think in the future people will understand me more."

Housemate status

However, when McCall told Angel she looked like "a broken woman" at points during the show, she said: "I have been, in my life, in much much worse situations. I'm strong enough."

Angel and Halfwit, who changed his name from Freddie to gain housemate status, were put up for eviction when contestants were given 90 seconds each to get to the diary room, say their nomination and give the reason for their selection.

Before the contestants became official housemates the public were given the chance to evict a "non-housemate" and voted out 28-year-old Beinazir Lasharie.

The following week, Sophia Brown, 26, from Herne Hill, London, lost out to 23-year-old entrepreneur Halfwit.

Cairon Austin-Hill was voted out of the Big Brother house last week.
