Farrah Fawcett dies aged 62

The actress Farrah Fawcett who became an icon of 1970s US television has died after a three-year battle with cancer.

Fawcett was first diagnosed with cancer in 2006. Her battle with the disease was chronicled in the television documentary Farrah's Story.
