Madonna has won her appeal to adopt a second child from Malawi.

The country's highest court over-ruled an earlier decision that she could not adopt four year old "Mercy" James because she had not been resident in the country, claiming money donated by the star to local charities should be taken into consideration.

The pop-star adopted a little boy from Malawi in 2006.

Andrew Harding reports.
