At-a-glance: Britain's Got Talent finalists

Street dance troupe Diversity has won the final of this year's Britain's Got Talent competition.

On Saturday fans were given the chance to vote for their favourite of 10 acts in a public vote.

The winning group has won £100,000 and a slot performing before the Queen at the Royal Variety Performance.

Here is a guide to the various contenders.

Talent: Street Dancing

From: Essex

Act Fact: There are three sets of brothers in the group and they only formed two years ago.

Judge's comments: "It was dynamic, it was funny, it was imaginative, I loved it" - Amanda Holden.

SUSAN BOYLE

Susan Boyle

Age: 48

Talent: Singing

Job: Church volunteer

From: Blackburn, West Lothian, Scotland

Act Fact: Her first performance on the show, which was I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables, became an internet sensation with more than 62 million hits on YouTube. Already a success in the US, she has even appeared on Oprah Winfrey's show.

Judge's comments: "When you said stood there with that cheeky grin and said 'I want to be like Elaine Paige' everyone was laughing at you. No-one is laughing now, that was stunning" - Piers Morgan

Act Fact: The group want to inspire children from troubled communities and use the prize money to set up their own dance school.

Judge's comments: "It was a jaw-droppingly outstanding performance, just breathtaking I could not take my eyes off you" - Amanda Holden.

SHAUN SMITH

Shaun Smith

Age: 17

Talent: Singing

Job: Student

From: Lichfield, Staffordshire

Act Fact: Shaun is a keen rugby player and participates in a game up to four times a week. He began singing at the age of 12.

Judge's comments: "You've got a very, very authentic sounding voice and you didn't make that sound karaoke. I think you're really good" - Simon Cowell.

SHAHEEN JAFARGHOLI

Shaheen Jafargholi

Age: 12

Talent: Singing

Job: School student

From: Swansea

Act Fact: Shaheen chose to sing The Zutons' Valerie at his first audition, but Cowell stopped it halfway though and asked for a different song. Fortunately another piece of music was already cued up and he got through singing Who's Loving You by Michael Jackson.

Judge's comments: "You have just shown that Wales has got talent" - Piers Morgan.

Stavros Flatley

Duo Names: Demetrios and Michalakis Andreas (aka Lagi) Demetriou

Age: 41 and 13

Talent: Comedy dancing

Job: Electrical company director and school student

From: North London

Act Fact: The father and son dance act originated when Demetrios owned a Greek restaurant seven years ago and started dancing to entertain his customers. All their backing dancers in the semi-final were former waiters.

Judge's comments: "This is one of my favourite ever dance acts" - Simon Cowell.

Duo Names: John Neill and Sallie Lax

Age: 76 and 12

Talent: Singing

Job: Retired and school student

From: Doncaster

Act Fact: The grandfather and granddaughter singing team have been performing together for two years. John recently lost his wife after 54 years of marriage. He says that she has brought them good luck.

Judge's comments: "To be brutally honest I didn't think it was going to be that good and you surprised me" - Amanda Holden.

Semi-final performance: 2 Grand singing Somewhere Out There - An American Tale.

JULIAN SMITH

Julian Smith

Age: 39

Talent: Saxophonist

Job: Private music teacher/freelance musician

From: Birmingham

Act Fact: It is his dream to perform on stage, instead of pubs and restaurants, where he does not believe he gets the recognition he deserves. He has been playing the sax since the age of 14.

Judge's comments: "I think there could be something very special about you" - Simon Cowell.

Semi-final performance: Julian Smith playing All By Myself.

AIDAN DAVIS

Aidan Davis

Age: 11

Talent: Dance

Job: School student

From: Birmingham

Act Fact: Aidan is a self-taught dancer and practises in his bedroom at home. He has been compared to last year's winner George Sampson, who wowed fans with his dance routine.

Judge's comments: "I never saw Justin Timberlake dance when he was your age but I bet it was like that." - Piers Morgan

Hollie Steel

Age: 10

Talent: Singing

Job: School student

From: Accrington, Lancashire

Act Fact: Hollie was allowed to perform again in the semi-final after bursting into tears during her first attempt at Edelweiss. The judges went on to save her to secure her place in the final.

Judge's comments: "That was one of the gutsiest things I've ever seen in my life. I couldn't have done that and I think you should be very proud of yourself." - Piers Morgan
