Morrissey live dates rescheduled

Morrissey is currently on a sold out UK tour

Singer Morrissey has announced a short UK tour in October, including two dates he was forced to reschedule after falling ill last week.

The gigs, at the Birmingham Symphony Hall and London's Royal Albert Hall, will now be held on 23 October and 27 October respectively.

Tickets for the shows are still valid, ith returns and new tickets going on sale on 22 May.

The new run includes shows in Swindon, Bournemouth, Leeds and Sheffield.

The 49-year-old is currently on a sold out world tour but pulled two shows last week after being ordered to rest by doctors "to ensure a complete recuperation".

Morrissey's four opening dates of his tour - all in Florida - at the end of February and start of March were also cancelled, reportedly due to illness.

The new dates are:

Birmingham Symphony Hall, 23 October

Swindon Oasis, 24 October

Bournemouth Opera House, 26 October

London Royal Albert Hall, 27 October

Leeds O2 Academy, 29 October

Sheffield City Hall, 30 October
