Naked Chef ties the knot
Jamie Oliver and wife Juliette
The happy couple meet at school in Essex
An Elvis Presley impersonator serenaded the congregation at the church wedding of Naked Chef Jamie Oliver and his childhood sweetheart Juliette Norton on Saturday.

Mr Oliver, 25, who hosts a cookery show on BBC Two, emerged from All Saints Church, in the village of Rickling, Essex, to give a crowd of well-wishers a thumbs up sign and tell reporters that he was "bloody happy".

About 100 guests gathered in the 13th Century church for the ceremony which ended with Elvis impersonator John Pearson singing Can't Help Falling in Love.

Mr Oliver had to wait 15 minutes for his bride, also 25, to arrive. As he waited he said: "It's more nerve-racking than cooking for Tony Blair."

But after the ceremony as couple walked arm-in-arm to the nearby home of Oliver's parents, Trevor and Sally, for a reception in a marquee, he said: "We had good fun, mate. It was beautiful. I'm bloody happy. We're off for a kebab."

Ms Norton, who was given away by Mr Oliver's father, wore a strapless white satin dress designed by Neil Cunningham with ankle strapped white stiletto shoes designed by Jimmy Choo.

The groom was dressed in a sky blue corduroy suit designed by Paul Smith, a pink open necked shirt, purple socks and grey snakeskin loafers.

The bride was driven from her home in nearby Saffron Walden in a 1951 blue Cadillac, followed by her sisters Lisa and Nathalie in a 1955 pale green Buick Roadmaster.

Mr Oliver walked to church from the home of his parents, which was 200 yards away.

He had got up at 0500 BST to bake the bread for his guests. Other delights on the wedding menu included a poached wild salmon dish.

The couple met when they were teenagers at nearby Newport Grammar School and they have been together since.

They will honeymoon in Italy.
