A German reality TV show which will see contestants compete to win a role in the Twilight film series is to be screened, according to reports.

Industry newspaper The Hollywood Reporter said actress Carmen Electra has been lined up to appear as a guest judge on the show Mission Hollywood.

Contestants are expected to carry out stunts and re-enact classic movie scenes from films to prove themselves.

The show, which will be broadcast on German network RTL, starts on 8 June.

German star Til Schweiger and acting coach Bernhard Hiller will act as permanent judges on the show.

The first movie in the Twilight series was a huge hit with cinema-goers.

Sequel New Moon is currently being shot in Vancouver and being made by American Pie director Chris Weitz.

Hard Candy director David Slade has signed up to make the third movie, Eclipse, which is expected to be released next summer.
