Kasabian and comedy at cancer gig

Kasabian are due to release their third album in June this year

Kasabian, Stereophonics and Anthony and the Johnsons will line up for gigs in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Kasabian are expected to preview material from their forthcoming album when they play at The Royal Albert Hall in London on 27 March.

Gavin and Stacey actors James Corden and Mathew Horne will also host an evening of comedy for the charity.

The event, now in its eighth year, is organised by The Who's Roger Daltrey. Tickets will go on sale on 13 February.

Inspiration

Previous shows have featured performances from Coldplay, Doves, Paul Weller and Oasis. Kasabian, who are due to support Oasis later in the year, have lent their support to the charity before.

The band's singer Tom Meighan said: "We were inspired after meeting some of the teenagers with cancer at our gigs last year and it really made us want to do more for the charity."

This year's Brits Critics' choice winners Florence and the Machine will support former Mercury prize-winners Anthony and the Johnsons. Supporting slots on the Kasabian and Stereophonics nights are yet to be announced.
