Madonna adds extra UK tour dates

Sticky & Sweet is Madonna's eighth world tour

Two extra dates have been added to the UK leg of Madonna's world tour after the original concerts sold out.

A further show at London's O2 Arena will take place on 5 July, with an additional gig at Manchester's MEN Arena on 8 July.

On Friday, the two original dates of the singer's Sticky & Sweet tour sold out within minutes.

Tickets for the add-on dates are scheduled to go on sale on Thursday at 0900 GMT.

Madonna has played Europe and the Americas since the tour kicked off at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium last August.

The string of dates to support the singer's album Hard Candy has become the biggest-grossing tour for a solo artist.

The latest leg of the tour is due to wind up in the Slovenian capital Ljubljana on 20 August.

The performer will take in other eastern European countries including Bulgaria and Russia.
