How to put together an exhibition


How do you go about putting together a blockbuster exhibition at London's Royal Academy of Arts?

The Byzantium show opens on the 25th of October and includes around 300 objects from the Byzantine Empire 330-1453 including icons, wall paintings and gold and silver metalwork. Some of the works have never been displayed in public before.

Here the curator Robin Cormack takes us through the challenges involved in making it happen.
