Grant 'pulls out of latest movie'

Grant had been due to star in the film with Ziyi Zhang

Actor Hugh Grant has left the production of his latest romantic comedy due to "creative differences", industry magazine Variety has reported.

The Notting Hill star, 48, had agreed to appear in Lost for Words, playing an actor in a love triangle with a Chinese actress and her female translator.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon star Ziyi Zhang was set to appear as Grant's love interest.

A spokeswoman for Grant said the star's departure was over the film's script.

"This was a case of creative differences," the spokeswoman said.

"They were not able to get a script everyone agreed on but it's our understanding that Working Title is moving ahead with the project and Hugh wishes them well."

The film was to be the latest between Grant and long-time collaborator Richard Curtis, who wrote the star's previous hit films Four Weddings And A Funeral, Notting Hill and Love Actually.

Lost for Words is due to start filming within the next few months for a 2009 release.
