Christmas baby for Ball
Ball and Cook
Parents-to-be: Zoe Ball and Norman Cook
Television and radio presenter Zoe Ball is expecting her first baby with husband DJ Norman "Fatboy Slim" Cook.

The 29-year-old broadcaster is due to give birth on Christmas Eve.

Ball and Cook, 36, have been trying for a baby since they married in August and she admitted on her Radio One show earlier this year that she was desperate to be a mum.

The couple are believed to have conceived their child on a romantic break in Venice in March.

"I'm incredibly happy. We are both over the moon and can't wait until Christmas," Ball told The Sun newspaper.

She said only family and close friends - including her co-host on Channel Four's chat show The Priory, Jamie Theakston - have been told.

Ball left her 250,000-a-year Radio One breakfast show job on March 10, handing over to her close friend Sara Cox, and immediately went on holiday to Venice.

Wendy Downes, the agent of her father, children's TV host Johnny Ball, refused to comment.
