Dale Howard and Stuart Pilkington are facing the public vote after being nominated by their fellow Big Brother housemates on the Channel 4 show.

The pair appeared pleased to hear the news, and hugged and thanked everyone.

Dale said he wanted to be up for eviction to see if he was liked by the public. Stuart wanted to face the vote because he was missing his daughter.

Whoever goes during Friday's live show will be the seventh person to be evicted from the Big Brother house.

Dale was nominated by Mohammed, Rex, and Sara, who said: "I know he really wants to go, and I feel so bad saying this because I really get along with him."

Sara said she was nominating him because he disliked hearing singing in the house.

"He doesn't let me Kat and Rachel sing. He just hates our singing and he goes on about it all the time," she said.

Tactical voting

Stuart was nominated by Mohammed, Lisa, Rex, and Rachel, who said: "He's been putting pressure on all of us to nominate him and to me he shouldn't be doing that."

Stuart said he was voting tactically in order to be up for eviction, and chose Sara and Mikey because he thought they would receive the fewest votes.

It is the first time Sara has been nominated by her fellow contestants since she entered the show.

Several housemates were not allowed to nominate this week, however.

Darnell was banned because he broke a house rule, while Kathreya and Mikey were barred after failing a task to eat 300 sprouts.

Nicole was not allowed to vote and was immune from eviction because she only entered the house on Friday.

Rachel was also immune from leaving because she was head of house.
