Mario hears the eviction news

Mario Marconi has become the fourth contestant to be evicted from the Big Brother house.

The 43-year-old housemate, who entered the Channel 4 reality TV show with his partner Lisa Appleton, received 77% of votes in the public poll.

He had been up against Rebecca Shiner in this week's vote.

The father-of-two from Warrington received five nominations and was branded "aggressive" and "nasty" by his fellow contestants.

Four people nominated 21-year-old Rebecca, who had received a total of 11 nominations since she entered the house on 5 June.

Last week, Rex Newmark was saved from eviction after Jennifer Clark received 90% of the public's votes.

As well as the evictions in this series, two contestants have been removed from the house for inappropriate behaviour.
