Lily Allen has told fans she is embarrassed by her drunken behaviour at the recent Glamour magazine Women of the Year Awards.

The Smile singer was photographed being carried out of a party after the ceremony, where she had been honoured with the editor's special award.

Allen used her blog to explain her behaviour, saying: "It's not cool getting that drunk.

"Kids, drink responsibly or you'll end up looking like this, not pretty!"

But she added on Myspace: "Was quite fun though, from what i can remember. Need fry up now."

The 23-year-old daughter of comic actor Keith Allen made her name in 2006 with the number one hit Smile.

She is currently in the studio recording her second album with producer Mark Ronson, which will be released later this year. Her debut, Alright Still, reached number two in 2006.
