Ono to attend Paul McCartney show

Yoko Ono will see Sir Paul McCartney perform a string of his hits

Yoko Ono has said she plans to attend the Capital of Culture concert in Liverpool on Sunday, which Sir Paul McCartney is headlining.

John Lennon's widow, who has been visiting the city, said: "Of course I am going to be there. I'm looking forward to it."

The 75-year-old added: It's a very special weekend."

The Kaiser Chiefs and the Zutons will also play the gig, which is being held at Anfield football ground.

Dave Grohl of US band the Foo Fighters is also set to appear at the Liverpool Sound concert. In a recent interview Sir Paul said his set would include some surprises and also several old favourites.
