Simpson 'marries musician Wentz'

The couple have been together since 2006

Singer Ashlee Simpson has married rock musician Pete Wentz, according to reports in the US.

People magazine reported that the 23-year-old married the Fall Out Boy bassist, 28, at her parents' California home in front of 150 guests.

"We're delighted to confirm that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were married in front of family and close friends," their spokesperson told the magazine.

The pair, who got engaged last month, have been dating since autumn 2006.

Simpson's father performed the non-denominational ceremony, while her sister Jessica served as maid of honour, the magazine said.

Wentz's English bulldog, Hemingway, was the ring-bearer.

People reported there was an Alice in Wonderland themed reception, with the bride wearing an ivory lace wedding gown by designer Monique Lhuillier and jewels by William Noble.

Guests at the wedding included Jessica's boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, Nicole Richie and Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden, and Scrubs actor Donald Faison.

Simpson released her latest album Bittersweet World last month.

Wentz co-founded Fall Out Boy in 2001 and has since built a loyal following from successful albums like 2005's From Under the Cork Tree and Infinity on High released last year.
