Baby boy for Radio 1's Sara Cox

BBC Radio 1 presenter Sara Cox has given birth to her second child, a baby boy called Isaac.

The 33-year-old and her new son are said to be doing very well.

Cox hosted the station's weekend lunchtime show before going on maternity leave, and is due to return to the air in September.

The broadcaster, whose current partner is Ben Cyzer, has a three-year-old daughter, Lola, from her first marriage to DJ Jon Carter.

Cox rose to prominence as a presenter of late night Channel 4 programme The Girlie Show in 1994.

She acted as Radio 1 breakfast presenter from 2000-3, and was replaced by the early morning show's current presenter, Chris Moyles.
