Jay-Z will keep making music for the Def Jam label
Rapper Jay-Z is to step down as president of record label Def Jam.

The hip-hop star and mogul has been at the company's helm since 2004, signing artists including Rihanna and Ne-Yo, who have gone on to enjoy huge success.

Jay-Z will continue to record for the label after coming out of retirement from making music last year.

"Now it's time for me to take on new challenges," he said. "I am pleased to have had the opportunity to build upon the Def Jam legacy."
