Hasselhoff and ex-wife make deal

The Baywatch star was treated for alcoholism earlier this year
Knight Rider and Baywatch star David Hasselhoff has won joint custody of his two daughters as part of a post-divorce deal with his ex-wife, Pamela Bach.

"I'm pleased that everything has been resolved," said the 55-year-old actor in a statement. "We are all moving on".

The actor said he was "proud" of his daughters Taylor, 17, and Hayley, 15, for having "exhibited dignity during this very difficult time".

The couple divorced in 2006 after more than 16 years together.

Mr Hasselhoff was temporarily denied access to his children in May after a videotape showing the recovering alcoholic apparently drunk was released.

In October he was treated in hospital for a "brief relapse" into alcoholism.

Mr Hasselhoff and his ex-wife spent months negotiating custody and financial arrangements prior to Tuesday's announcement, the Associated Press reported.

The terms of the settlement were not revealed by his lawyer, Melvin S Goldman.
