Brosnan sued by LA photographer
Pierce Brosnan
Brosnan will be seen next year in the film of musical Mamma Mia
A photographer has taken legal action against actor Pierce Brosnan after an alleged altercation in Los Angeles.

Robert Rosen said he was taking photos of the former Bond star on 26 October when he struck him in the chest.

He claims he was left with "severe physical and emotional pain and injuries, including bruised ribs".

Last month prosecutors in Los Angeles said there was insufficient evidence to charge the 54-year-old actor over the alleged incident.

In papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, Mr Rosen claims he was not pursuing Brosnan and did not invade his privacy.

'Pain and injury'

He said the alleged attack in a Malibu parking lot was "designed to inflict pain and injury".

The freelance photographer is reportedly suing for unspecified damages, the cost of medical and psychological treatment and lost earnings.

Brosnan's representatives have made no comment about the alleged incident.

The actor was recently seen in the western Seraphim Falls and will appear next year in the film version of Abba musical Mamma Mia.
