Liotta admits to reckless driving
Ray Liotta
Liotta is best known for playing Henry Hill in Goodfellas
Actor Ray Liotta has pleaded no contest to a reckless driving charge after he drove into two parked cars, police in Los Angeles said.

The Goodfellas star was placed on three years' probation and ordered to enter a 12-hour alcohol education programme, according to court documents.

Liotta was arrested in February following the crash and initially charged with drink driving.

The actor will also pay a fine and cover the cost of the damaged vehicles.

'Unexpected drowsiness'

Liotta's lawyer Blair Berk said: "Ray had some unexpected drowsiness from the interaction of some medications prescribed by a doctor."

The screen star was alone in his car, and no-one was injured in the collision.

He won an Emmy for a guest role on TV drama ER, and has starred in films such as animation hit Bee Movie and Field of Dreams.

He also appeared last year's mob drama Smokin' Aces alongside Ben Affleck, Andy Garcia and Alicia Keys.

Liotta also lent his voice to the lead character in the video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
