Former Moloko singer Roisin Murphy is recovering after damaging her eye socket on stage in Russia on Saturday.
Roisin Murphy has cancelled European tour dates this week
The performer hit her head on a chair during the show at Moscow's Ikra Club and was rushed to hospital for surgery.
A spokesman said she lost "a lot of blood" and had severe concussion, but her vision was unaffected and she was "recovering well".
He added that Murphy, 34, had been ordered to rest for seven days, affecting her European tour dates.
Murphy had been due to play shows in Krakow, Warsaw, Berlin, Prague, Munich and Vienna over the next week.
But a tour of the UK and Ireland, due to start on 26 November, should be unaffected, the spokesman added.
The Irish-born singer shot to fame as one half of electronica duo Moloko in the mid-1990s, along with then-partner Mark Brydon.
Since then she has released two solo albums, Ruby Blue and Overpowered.
