Brian Belo
Brian Belo is the latest Big Brother winner
Audition dates for the ninth series of Channel 4 reality TV show Big Brother have been announced.

The open auditions for "people aged 18 to 99" will kick off in Manchester on 24 November.

Further auditions will be held in Belfast, Dublin, Cardiff, Birmingham, Glasgow, Newcastle and London.

Brian Belo, 20, from Basildon, Essex, won this summer's eighth series of the surveillance gameshow, taking home 100,000 in prize money.

He beat bookmakers' favourites, twins Sam and Amanda Marchant, into second place.

Viewing figures for the reality show were down, with an average of 3.8 million watching this series compared with 4.5 million last year.

Spin-off series Celebrity Big Brother will not be returning in January in the wake of a race row involving Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty and former Big Brother contestant Jade Goody.
