Chris Tarrant's dulcet tones are to hit the dance floor

Quiz show host Chris Tarrant is to release the theme from Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? as a dance record.

The track is being released next month.

Along with instrumental mixes are snatches of TV's highest paid man uttering phrases from the show, which wins massive ratings.

The single, by Amoure, features three tracks which give a trance feel to the well-known theme tune.

A spokeswoman for the show's producers, Celador, said: "It's too soon to say whether it will be a hit but judging by the success of the game anything can happen."

Tarrant played the track on his Capital FM show on Friday while Radio 2's Steve Wright and Radio 1's Chris Moyles have also given it a spin.

The DJ and TV presenter has previously tasted modest chart success with The Four Bucketeers with his colleagues from children's ITV show Tiswas.

They reached number 26 with The Bucket of Water Song in 1980.

The song is a taster for an album aimed at Millionaire fans to build the atmosphere when they play at home.

The album will feature 76 pieces of music, with one to accompany each wrong or right answer. It will come with a set of question cards for eight full games.

The single, Is That Your Final Answer?, is to be released on May 1.
