Jailed rapper Foxy Brown is facing being handcuffed after twice refusing to be transported on a prison bus.
Foxy Brown was placed on probation in October 2006
The 28-year-old, who was sentenced to a year in prison last month, would not be taken to court in Brooklyn, New York.
An order for prison officers to handcuff and forcibly place her on the bus for her rescheduled appearance on Tuesday may be issued, say prosecutors.
Brown was imprisoned for violating probation relating to a fight with two manicurists at a hair salon.
The musician - real name Inga Marchand - is serving her sentence at Rikers Island prison.
Her new album, Brooklyn's Don Diva, is scheduled for release at the end of November.
Brown was jailed after being arrested in Brooklyn in August on charges of hitting a woman with a mobile phone when the pair fought over the volume of the rapper's car stereo the previous month.
Her other probation violations included leaving New York state without permission and dropping out of court-ordered anger-management sessions with a psychologist.
Criminal Court Judge Melissa Jackson told the rapper at her sentencing: "I'm not going to give you any more chances."
Brown's manager Chaz Williams responded: "I'm sorry Miss Jackson, we're not impressed, and definitely not stopping musically."
Last month he scotched rumours that the rapper was pregnant.
