Foxx joins Garner at UK premiere

The film, starring Foxx and Garner, was released in the UK on Friday

Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx has attended the UK premiere of his latest action thriller, The Kingdom, in London's Leicester Square.

Foxx was joined on the red carpet by his co-star, Jennifer Garner.

The pair play FBI secret agents trying to track down terrorists after a bomb kills hundreds of oil workers and their families in Saudi Arabia.

The Kingdom made its debut at number two in this week's North American film chart, behind Disney's The Game Plan.

Garner, who is married to actor Ben Affleck, said her role involved some tough action scenes, including a fight with a male villain.

"It was so 'down and dirty' that I had scratch marks that we had to cover up on my face for the next few days," she said.
