BBC Radio 3 DJ Andy Kershaw has admitted to breaching a restraining order and driving under the influence of alcohol.
Andy Kershaw has presented his Radio 3 show since 2001
The 48-year-old pleaded guilty before the Deputy Bailiff's Court in Douglas on the Isle of Man, where he lives.
He was arrested last month for breaking an order banning him from approaching his former partner, Juliette Banner, who also lives on the island.
The case has been adjourned until 19 October for preparation of reports.
The radio host is not allowed to drive a car, must co-operate with the Probation Service, observe a nightly curfew and avoid establishments selling alcohol as part of his terms of bail.
He must also observe the conditions of the original restraining order.
Ms Banner, who has two children with Mr Kershaw, was granted an order preventing him from approaching her home in Peel on 1 August.
He was arrested on 29 August after attempting to call at the house and breaching the order by causing fear, alarm or distress.
The DJ, who was born in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, was remanded in custody for several days until he was granted bail on 4 September.
On September he was stopped by police on a road near Peel while driving a Toyota car, breathalysed, and found to be over the legal alcohol limit.
Mr Kershaw and Ms Banner lived in north London until moving to the island in April 2006 before separating.
He had been on a summer break from his world music show on Radio 3 when the arrest took place.
Speaking outside the court, Mr Kershaw said: "I've lost my kids, I've lost the woman I love, I've lost everything. I just want peace and quiet."
