Cold Feet actress has baby girl
Hermione Norris
Norris' TV credits also include Spooks and Wire In The Blood
Former Cold Feet star Hermione Norris has given birth to a baby girl, Hero, in London's Queen Charlotte's Hospital.

It is the actress's second child with husband Simon Wheeler. Their son, Wilf, was born in 2004.

"We are absolutely thrilled," said Wheeler in a statement. "Wilf is delighted that he has a sister. They are both doing well."

Norris played publisher Karen Marsden in Cold Feet and currently stars in ITV1's hit drama series, Kingdom.

The actress took time out from filming the second series, which stars Stephen Fry as a small-town solicitor, to have the baby.

She is expected to be back on set next month to complete her scenes for the show, which returns to ITV1 next year.

According to reports, the baby's name was inspired by the character Hero in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing.
