Five up for Big Brother eviction
Sam and Amanda
The twins have opted to be treated as one person in the house
Twins Amanda and Samantha are up for eviction in Channel 4's reality TV show Big Brother, alongside "halfway" housemates Jonty, Amy and Kara-Louise.

The twins chose to face eviction together, after being told they could either be treated as one person or must pick one twin to face the public vote.

The other nominated contestants entered the house last week after spending time in a separate compound.

The ninth eviction will take place during a live show on Friday night.

'Irritating'

Six people nominated student Kara-Louise; glamour model Amy and museum visitor assistant Jonty received five nominations.

The twins, who have waived the right to be treated as individuals, nominated Jonty and Kara-Louise.

Amy also nominated 22-year-old Kara-Louise, labelling her "ungrateful".

Jonty was singled out by Gerry for being "too out there". Tree surgeon Liam called him "irritating".

Carole and Kara-Louise put Amy up for eviction, claiming they could not trust her.

Last week "halfway" housemates David and Shanessa were evicted from the Big Brother house.

Three people have walked out of the show, while Emily Parr was ejected for unacceptable behaviour.

The current series has seen audience figures slump to their lowest level since the show launched eight years ago.
