Viewers will get the chance to decide the ending of a new ITV1 drama based on an X Factor-style TV talent show.
Michelle Collins plays talent show judge Karina Faith
Producers of Rock Rivals will film two endings before the audience chooses the winning act.
The drama, out later this year, then becomes real as the top act will then see its record released.
The people playing the pop wannabes in the drama are actors chosen for their singing ability. Simon Cowell is a consultant on the series.
Former soap stars Michelle Collins and Sean Gallagher will star as a bickering husband and wife who both sit on the judging panel.
Collins is best known for her role as Cindy Beale in EastEnders, while Gallagher recently played factory owner Paul Connor in Coronation Street.
Rock Rivals is being made by Shed Productions, the company behind Footballers' Wives and Bad Girls.
"Rock Rivals has a real buzz to it and promises to be a worthy successor to Footballers' Wives - a combination of wild characters and pacey plots set against a world of ruthless ambition," said Shed's managing director Brian Park.
Sally Haynes, controller of network drama at ITV, described the series as "a modern, fun drama that transports us backstage into the heady and fabulous extremes of the music business".
