US rap star P Diddy has posted a recorded message on networking site MySpace in an attempt to recruit a new personal assistant.

The Grammy-winning rap star - real name Sean Combs - asks applicants submit a three-minute video interview on why they would be good at the job.

The musician sells the job by claiming he may "scream" at anyone who gets the job and "keep you up late".

He adds "You know I'm the best and I like working with the best."

So far there have been 20 video responses posted on video sharing website YouTube.

'A new era'

Modesto, 21, described himself as a "very humble person" who is "trustworthy".

David Whang claims he is the right man for the job because he is "dedicated and motivated".

Explaining why he has shunned traditional methods to fill the position, Combs said: "It's a new age, a new time, a new era. Forget coming into the office and having a meeting with me and being nervous."

Messages have also been left on his MySpace page in response to Diddy's advert.

"I am definitely the person for the job. I live and breathe the entertainment industry and I know so much about you, because I am already a fan," said prospective employee Sal Sal.

"I'm the assistant your (sic) looking for. I can do the job and be the best assistant you ever had," said another message posted by Kenneth.

Combs recently split from his long-term girlfriend and mother of his three children, Kim Porter.

The break-up came just six months after Porter, 37, gave birth to twin girls, D'Lila Star and Jessie James.

The couple already had a son called Christian and had been together for almost 10 years in total.
