Lovejoy presents Something For The Weekend on BBC Two
TV presenter Tim Lovejoy is to leave Sky Sport's Soccer AM show after 10 years, the broadcaster has confirmed.

"Tim notified us he would like a change of direction in his career," said a spokesperson for Sky. "It is a decision we understand."

Lovejoy was also a producer on the programme, which is renowned for its mixture of sport, stunts and comedy.

His co-presenter, Helen Chamberlain, will remain with the show. Sky said a new host would be announced shortly.

"Tim goes with our best wishes and we'd like to thank him for his work on Soccer AM," the broadcaster added.

Soccer AM is currently on a hiatus during the summer football break, but Lovejoy can be seen presenting the Sunday morning cookery programme Something For The Weekend on BBC Two.

He is rumoured to be leaving Soccer AM to present an entertainment show for Simon Fuller's 19 TV- the company behind American Idol.

His management was unable to comment on the presenter's future plans.
