Sir Jimmy Savile is to perform a special 'Fix It' show for guests at the 2007 Edinburgh Television Festival.

Jim'll Fix It Strikes Again will be making dreams come true for visitors at the event, while Jeremy Paxman will host a one-off University Challenge.

Newsnight presenter Paxman will also be giving the keynote MacTaggart Lecture on politics and the media.

Other contributors include Channel 4's chief executive Andy Duncan. The three-day festival starts on 24 August.

Mr Duncan will take part in a session on Channel 4 at 25, which will include a discussion of this year's Celebrity Big Brother controversy.

Also attending is presenter Cat Deeley who is fronting If I Can Make It There, I Can Make It Anywhere, about artists trying to break into the US market.

Jim'll Fix It Strikes Again made its debut on UKTV Gold earlier this year, marking a return to television for the 80-year-old entertainer.
