TV presenter June Sarpong has collected an MBE for her services to broadcasting and charity work.
Sarpong, best known for presenting T4 on Channel 4, said she was "thrilled, delighted and honoured" after the investiture at Buckingham Palace.
"It's just such a beautiful ceremony. I did my best curtsey," said the 29-year-old, who is an ambassador for the Prince's Trust.
She also supports the Samaritans and the Make Poverty History campaign.
She said Prince Charles, who presented the recipients with MBEs, had thanked her for "all the wonderful work" she had done with the Trust.
"To be recognised for working with young people makes it all worthwhile," Sarpong added.

Sarpong's family are from Ghana but she was born and grew up in London, beginning her career as a DJ on Kiss FM. She got her big television break on MTV.
She said her career highlight had been a documentary based on her spending 24 hours with Prime Minister Tony Blair because it "connected him with a young audience".
The programme famously saw Mr Blair admit to Sarpong that he had never sent a bunch of flowers to his wife, Cherie.
Aside from the youth show T4, Sarpong has also presented game show Strictly Dance Fever on BBC Three and Wags' Boutique on ITV2.
