Actor Sheen settles legal action
Charlie Sheen
Sheen won a People's Choice Award for Two and a Half Men
Actor Charlie Sheen has settled a legal challenge with a woman who claimed he based a TV character on her.

Ursula Auburn sued the star last year, saying Rose, a "wacky neighbour and a female stalker" in Sheen's hit TV show Two and a Half Men, was based on her.

Ms Auburn also claimed that scenes in the TV comedy mirrored her own experiences with the actor. She said Sheen had not sought her permission.

Details of the settlement were not disclosed in court documents.

Ms Auburn's claim detailed a scene in the comedy where Rose builds a website chronicling Charlie Harper - Sheen's character - and his womanising ways

Ms Auburn created an internet site dedicated to her real-life relationship with the actor.

Her case, filed at the Los Angeles Superior Court in April 2006, also claimed that the character of Rose physically resembled her and dressed in a similar manner.
