Timbaland takes number one spot
Timbaland and Nelly Furtado
Singer Furtado recently won five Juno awards in her native Canada
Timbaland's Give It To Me, featuring Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake, has ended The Proclaimers' three-week run at the top of the singles' chart.

The track jumped to number one, ahead of Mark Ronson's Stop Me at two, and Avril Lavigne's Girlfriend at three.

Charity remake (I'm Gonna Be) 500 Miles fell to four; Beyonce and Shakira's Beautiful Liar completes the top five.

However Gareth Gates, the original Pop Idol runner-up, failed to make the top ten with comeback single Changes.

The 22-year-old singer, who was dropped by his record company Sony BMG last year, reached number 14.
