Donny Osmond to host TV game show

Osmond's 55th CD went gold upon its UK release last month

Singer Donny Osmond has signed up to present a new BBC Two game show dubbed "the ultimate mind game".

Identity, which is already a hit in the US, sees contestants use instinct and reasoning to identify 12 strangers.

Jay Hunt, BBC controller of daytime and early peak, said: "We couldn't be more excited about Donny joining the BBC daytime line-up."

Brian Conley has been added to the BBC One daytime spring schedule, hosting a quiz show called Dirty Rotten Cheater.

Conley fires questions at contestants, the twist being that one of them already has the answers.

The aim of the game is for the honest players to expose the cheat.

Conley is also working on the second series of Let Me Entertain You for BBC Two.
