As BBC soap EastEnders celebrates its 15th anniversary, we look back at a few of the show's more memorable faces.

Grant then married barmaid Tiffany, but got to know his mother-in-law rather too well.

Meanwhile his mother Peggy Mitchell found love with old charmer Frank Butcher.

Impulsive Sanjay got himself into hot water - unable to choose between his feisty wife Gita and her classy sister Meena.

Nice-but-dim Ricky Butcher married his childhood sweetheart Samantha Mitchell...

...and then firecracker Bianca, who left him for a fashion course in Manchester.

Fashion flop Nigel Bates was a favourite amongst mothers everywhere.
