Police probe Blunt accident claim

Singer-songwriter James Blunt is at the centre of a US police investigation over allegations he ran over somebody's foot before driving off.

The alleged victim told police his foot was injured at a Los Angeles party in the early hours of Saturday morning, a police spokeswoman said.

Blunt's publicist said the 33-year-old had negotiated a crowd at low speed and the matter was being investigated.

Later in the weekend he performed at Elton John's post-Oscars party.
