TV presenter Chris Tarrant's estranged wife Ingrid has been granted a divorce from him at London's High Court.
Tarrant, best known for Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, blamed himself for the collapse of the marriage when their split was announced last September.
Ingrid Tarrant's divorce petition took just minutes to process after being listed before a district judge.
She had said the divorce and the settlement would be conducted "in a fair and civil manner".
Media accusations
Chris Tarrant made his name on the anarchic 1970s children's show Tiswas but met Ingrid when working on breakfast TV station TV-am in the early 1980s.
In a statement issued last year, Tarrant said: "I am deeply sorry for the hurt I have caused to my loyal wife and wonderful children, all of whom I adore.
"I have only myself to blame for the breakdown of my marriage."
The couple separated in September after a series of stories appeared in the media accusing Tarrant of an affair.
The divorce documents revealed that Mrs Tarrant was granted the decree nisi on the grounds of her husband's admitted adultery with an unnamed woman.
