Rock star Pete Doherty has been charged with four driving offences following his arrest last year.

Mr Doherty, 27, is charged with failing to produce driving documents and driving with no insurance.

The musician also faces charges of driving with no MOT and failing to comply with driving licence conditions.

The Babyshambles frontman, who was arrested on 19 November 2006, was bailed to appear at Thames Magistrates' Court on 13 February.

Drugs charges

Police also charged two other occupants of Mr Doherty's car who were arrested along with him.

Michelle Breeze, 30, a retail manager from Streatham, south London, was charged with two counts of possession of heroin.

Peter Wolfe, 38, a songwriter from Maidstone, Kent, was charged with possession of cocaine.

They were both also bailed to appear at Thames Magistrates' Court on 13 February.

Last month Mr Doherty attended a review of a drug treatment order at Thames Magistrates' Court, east London.

District Judge Jane McIvor said Mr Doherty was making "optimistic" progress in his battle against drug addiction.

Mr Doherty was ordered to take part in a treatment programme after admitting drug possession charges in April 2006.
