Singer and violinist Seth Lakeman has been named singer of the year at this year's BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
The Devon musician, who was nominated for the 2005 Mercury Music Prize, also won best album for Freedom Fields.
Other winners included Chris Thile, who took musician of the year, while Karine Polwart claimed best original song.
Another highlight was a performance by the original line up of British folk legends Pentangle, who were presented with the lifetime achievement award.
Martin Carthy and Dave Swarbrick won best duo, while big band Bellowhead scooped two awards - best group and best live act.
Monday's award ceremony featured performances from Salsa Celtica, Show of Hands, Carthy & Swarbrick, Chris Thile, Karine Polwart and Bellowhead.
The seventh annual BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards were hosted by the station's Mike Harding.
