Seany is given Big Brother boot

Seany was the second housemate evicted in the Big Brother 8 contest
Seany O'Kane has become the second person to be evicted from Channel 4's Big Brother house.

Charity worker Seany, 25, received 44.5% of the public vote - he had been odds-on favourite to be thrown off the reality TV show.

He had been up against Jonathan Durden and Carole Vincent in the public vote on Friday.

All three picked up five nominations in the second vote of the series - the first to include all the housemates.

Nicky Maxwell and Charley Uchea were nominated four times by housemates, but escaped the public vote.

Seany contemplated his possible eviction earlier on Friday and said he only wanted to bring some fun into the house.

He said if he was evicted he hoped those remaining would continue to enjoy themselves.

Cash prize

Earlier this week contestant Liam McGough was picked to win 100,000 by the three nominated housemates.

All the housemates were shown the money before Jonathan, Carole and Seany were told they had one minute to pick a housemate to receive the cash prize.

Liam, 22, burst into tears when he heard he had won.

The housemates believe that Liam's 100,000 windfall has replaced the prize given to the series winner.

Meanwhile, Zak "Ziggy" Lichman has cooled his blossoming relationship with Chanelle Hayes, after rumours of her flirtation with fellow housemate Billi Bhati.

Ziggy, 26, took 19-year-old Chanelle into the garden and told her he wanted the relationship to end: "Simple as. That is it."
