Noel Edmonds
Deal or No Deal is one of Channel 4's top rating shows
TV host Noel Edmonds is among the new celebrity names to be included in the latest edition of Who's Who.

The Deal or No Deal presenter is listed alongside the latest Doctor Who actor David Tennant, under his real name David McDonald.

Winner of the 2003 Turner Prize Grayson Perry also makes a first entrance.

The compilation of 33,000 "noteworthy and influential" people has a first of its own by including the other halves of those in civil partnerships.

Another new entrant is Toby Stephens, best known for his role as the James Bond bad guy Gustav Graves in Die Another Day and Mr Rochester in a BBC version of Jane Eyre.

'Underwater knitting'

Ewan McGregor's uncle Denis Lawson - who acted in the original Star Wars trilogy - has joined his nephew in the 159th edition of the book.

Sanjeev Bhaskar, from Goodness Gracious Me and The Kumars at No 42, lists his pastimes as "dreaming, chatting, collecting and watching movies, staying in, anything relating to Elvis Presley, Beatles, film trivia and gadgets".

Another entrant with unusual hobbies is Sebastian Tombs, chief executive of Architecture and Design Scotland, who admits a love for "reverse cycling", while actor Jonathan Moore's pronounces an interest in "underwater knitting".

Those making the list due to their civil partners include Sir Elton John's partner David Furnish.
