Action film star Jackie Chan has set up a new production company in China with plans to make 10 films, the actor has said on his website.

The 52-year-old actor, who is currently filming Rush Hour 3, said he was scouting for new talent and ideas.

"I need to meet the directors. I need to read the screenplays and listen to ideas for more screenplays," he said.

Chan also said he is due to make an advert with retired boxer George Foreman in China.

The Hong Kong-born actor and film-maker has continued to make Chinese-language movies alongside his Hollywood career.

He has appeared in more than 100 films, including the popular Rush Hour series.

Chan is also famous for doing his own stunts in elaborate fight sequences.

Last month he was hurt after he was hit in the chest by a table during a scene for Rush Hour 3.
