Ex-Emmerdale star Malandra Burrows has become the sixth person to be voted off I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

The actress leaves the ITV1 jungle show after losing out in the public vote to former EastEnders actor Dean Gaffney.

She told presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly: "It's been an amazing experience, far more than I thought it ever would be. It's been brilliant."

Burrows said Liza Minnelli's ex-husband David Gest had "immense charm" and predicted he would win the contest.

Temple of Doom

The actress, who managed to remain on friendly terms with all the other contestants, admitted she slept with her boots on because she was scared of the rats.

When she entered the jungle she was left hanging in the canopy and had to shout for help.

Following her eviction she said one of her favourite moments was cooking up dinner for her fellow contestants on Monday.

She agreed that David Gest had power within the camp, and predicted he would win the contest.
