Ex-newsreader Jan Leeming has become the latest contestant voted off I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

Viewers were given a last minute choice between voting to save Leeming or ex-boy band member Matt Willis.

The 64-year-old became the focus of attention after being forced to endure six bush tucker trials in a row.

Speaking after her eviction she said: "I will miss them. I proved something to myself, to everybody else and it's time to go time."

"I've said all along that I wanted one of the younger ones to win it because it could do good for their career and both David [Gest] and I have said we don't need that," Leeming added.

"I thought if I volunteer and I do one I'll be left alone," Leeming said of her bush tucker trials. "Well I wasn't and I did day after day after day. But some of them were good."

Leeming, who spent 18 days in the Queensland jungle, said she was looking forward to a bit of pampering after roughing it.

"I've never had such dirty nails in my life, I want to get into a bath, I want my fruit, I want my vegetables, and I want to cuddle a koala," she said.
